Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 October 2026

1. Not financial advice

TSP Fortune is an educational and informational platform. Nothing on it constitutes financial, investment, tax or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. TSP Fortune and its operators are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner or tax adviser, and using the platform forms no advisory, fiduciary or client relationship with any of them. Nothing on the platform is individualized to any reader's financial situation, objectives or needs; where a page works on a reader's own entries, such as a portfolio, it describes those entries and does not advise on them. Every reading, record, figure and chart on the platform is produced by an algorithm from market data and tsp.gov's published share prices, and is a description of that data. Whether to act on any of it, and whether to take licensed advice first, is a decision that rests with the reader alone.

2. No guarantees

Past performance — including the forward-tested record on the receipts page — does not guarantee future results. Trading and investing involve risk, and some or all of the money put at risk can be lost. TSP Fortune makes no guarantee about the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of anything on the platform. A call can be wrong; a grade describes data, not an outcome; markets are unpredictable. The platform and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

3. The reader's responsibility

Every trading and investment decision made after reading TSP Fortune is the reader's own, as is every loss that follows from it. Using the platform is an acknowledgement of the risks involved in trading and investing. Money that cannot be afforded to lose is money that can be lost.

4. Data accuracy

Market data, prices, calls and grades come from third-party feeds and may contain errors, delays or gaps. The figures on a broker's platform, not the ones here, are the figures an order is filled against. TSP Fortune is not liable for any trading loss that follows from inaccurate or delayed data.

5. TSP and retirement accounts

The TSP and 401(k) analysis on the platform is educational. Retirement decisions rest on the plan's own documents and, where wanted, on an employer's HR department or a licensed financial advisor. Interfund transfers and contribution changes carry rules and limits that vary by plan.

6. Membership, billing and refunds

Membership is billed by Stripe, monthly or yearly, at the price shown on the membership page and at checkout; card details go to Stripe and are never held by TSP Fortune. A membership renews automatically at the end of each period until it is cancelled, which can be done at any time from the account page. Where a free trial of 10 days is offered to a new member, the first charge falls at the end of the trial unless the membership is cancelled before then. A monthly membership is not refunded for part of a month: if you cancel, access continues to the end of the month you have paid for. A yearly membership is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of the first charge or within 14 days of a yearly renewal charge. Membership gives one person access to the platform; sharing an account is not part of it.

7. Account security

The security of a TSP Fortune account rests on its password: a password shared is an account shared. TSP Fortune never asks for brokerage credentials, a social security number or a financial account number.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TSP Fortune and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the platform, including trading losses, lost profits and data loss. In any case, the total liability of TSP Fortune and its operators for all claims arising from the platform or these terms is limited to the amount the reader paid for membership in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $50 if the reader paid nothing in that time. Where the law does not allow a limitation in this clause, it applies to the fullest extent the law does allow.

9. Indemnity

The reader agrees to indemnify and hold harmless TSP Fortune and its operators from any claim, loss, liability, damage or cost, including reasonable legal fees, arising from the reader's use of the platform, the reader's trading and investment decisions, or the reader's breach of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. Continued use of the platform after a change is acceptance of the new terms, and the date at the top of this page is updated whenever they change.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. A dispute arising from use of the platform or from these terms is resolved through binding arbitration seated in Virginia, on an individual basis: no claim may be brought or heard as a class action, a collective action or any other representative proceeding.

12. Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, that part is enforced to the extent the law allows, and the rest of these terms remain in full force.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms reach TSP Fortune through the platform. Using TSP Fortune is an acknowledgement that these Terms of Service have been read and understood, and an agreement to be bound by them.

14. The Thrift Savings Plan and tsp.gov

Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board or tsp.gov. Share prices are tsp.gov's published figures. "TSP" and "Thrift Savings Plan" name the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board's plan, and TSP Fortune uses the names only to describe it.

IN SHORT

TSP Fortune is not a licensed broker, investment advisor or financial institution. Everything on it is educational and informational. Trading and investing carry a substantial risk of loss, and every decision, and its result, is the reader’s own.

NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE · EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY · THE RISK IS THE READER’S OWN

TSP Fortune publishes measured history and dated facts, the same page for every member. No page tells a reader what to do with an account.

A record of past years says nothing about the years after. The 200-day rule's length and band were chosen with the same history in view, so its record is in-sample.
